Scottish island mum began life on January 1st 2013 as a year long project that required a blog post every day.  What started as a personal blog about the life of a mum living on a Scottish island soon became a growing community that included readers from all over the world.  Using social network sites support for Scottish island mum grew quickly and soon this community was becoming involved in the life of a mother whose various projects reached out and touched so many lives.  Time and again Scottish island mum proved the power of the Internet to share, comment, evaluate and, ultimately, make a difference.  With increasing page views every day and new visitors joining the community a shared dialogue became established on all that was good and positive in the world.

At the end of the project Scottish island mum had received 40,000 page views.  The sharing that is at the heart of Scottish island mum has now brought us to this new site for 2014.  This site has taken note of all the feedback received in 2013 and reflects what we all love about the Scottish island mum story.
