Late posting today and next week I don’t think I will manage a post as I will be in the middle of a four day virtual stitching festival for Stitched Stories so I am apologising in advance for that.
This week has all been about George. This was dissertation hand in week – midnight on Thursday. 11.30pm and he submitted! He was quite determined to check and double check every word of the 29,000 words and so we pulled a 14 hour day of proof reading. His dissertation was on the subject of nature therapy and was completely fascinating. George is very interested in mental health and wellbeing so it was the perfect choice of subject. Now he waits for the result while completing his final assignment. Then that is it – four years done and dusted. I will let you know he gets on.
Also this week I have been busy preparing for the stitching festival. Those of you that have followed me from the beginning might remember the butterfly tree charity as I last worked with them back in 2013. I am delighted to be working with them again. Lots of folk are working really hard and giving of their time and expertise free so that we may raise money for the charity. The festival is going to be fabulous and if you would like to join us you would be more than welcome. Just pop over to the Stitched Stories website HERE and click on the festival pages.

I have had my second covid jab and another horrible reaction but will happily put up with that. Despite the reaction I have just pushed on otherwise I will never be ready for the festival. After it I am having some time off to rest and recharge as it has been a really busy first half of the year.
I am running my first VIRTUAL stitching for wellbeing retreat on 20th June and bookings have just opened. This will be such a fascinating new direction as I continue to put more and more of my work online. Over the past couple of years I have developed a coding system for analysing stitch work just as I would analyse experiences in meditation. In my stitching for wellbeing practice I am interested in what stitching tells us about what is going on in our subconscious minds. I have some lovely folk already signed up and you can find more details HERE.

I hope everyone has had a good week. I will try and write something during the week after the festival to let you all know how it goes.
